Robert C. Hernandez

Bob has worked both in the private and public sectors since attending college at the University of Texas and Saint Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he obtained his master’s in business administration. At the height of his career, he became the corporate VP of Finance for a $450MM NASDAQ rated Fast Casual Restaurant Concept. Additionally, he attended credit training programs sponsored by Chemical Bank New York and Texas Commerce Bank where he became a commercial middle market credit analyst. His expertise working with enterprise clients, analyzing many different industries for risk, interviewing “C” level executives, and sparring with bank senior executives to obtain approvals was invaluable to allow him to consult and carry this knowledge for the benefit of many entrepreneurs, small businesses, and well as middle market companies. His banking expertise includes SBA small business lending, internal bank operations, treasury management and special asset management. Additionally, Bob managed a $10MM bond fund and a large real estate portfolio for a Quasi-Governmental Entity in the Mental health field. He constructed several apartment complexes utilizing HUD grants for people with mental disabilities.

Bob has spoken at several national franchise association events, won the Austin Quality award Level III, financed over 80 different franchise concepts, and closed over $500MM in associated debt. He has saved several large and medium size companies from the brink of failure through bank negotiation, restructuring of the business debt, and managing outside professionals. He is an active member of the Financial Executives Networking Group and has been a board member of several important local Austin area boards. He has testified as an expert witness in banking related matters and was appointed Foreman of the 331st Grand Jury.

On the personal side, Bob is an avid musician who performs, writes, and plays lead guitar in many genres. He also volunteers his talents at his local church as a worship team guitar player. Bob played Rugby for the Austin Blacks, trained as a boxer at the famous Richard Lord’s Gym in Austin, Texas. Trained, albeit briefly, in Aikido and Wing Chun martial arts. His passion and Zen, aside from his family, is tent camping in the out of doors, fishing, and cooking over an open fire. Bob demonstrates competence, integrity, honesty, strength, resolve, and resourcefulness when interacting with and helping clients.
